Interesting, is this biographical then? I don’t know anything about Carnegie’s private life nor does Britannica (sometimes I do try to be scholarly) nor (cringe) Wikipedia have much on that aspect.

There’s a tiny bit of biographical fiction here about Carnegie himself, but the protagonist – this maid – is totally fictional, if I recall correctly.
